EBENEZER Operation Exodus - Aliyah from the U.S.A.

Aliyah from the U.S.A.

Aliyah from the U.S.A. - Debra and Michal

Last month at the New York City/Connecticut (NYC/CT) hub we had the privilege of meeting a young Jewish/American lady named Michal, who lives in a neighbouring town. Michal and her father Moshe came to the hub to meet us and receive Ebenezer’s financial gift, which will assist Michal as she prepares to make Aliyah from the USA.

Debra Minotti, John MacLean (owner of the building in which the hub is located) and I were thrilled to meet this fascinating young lady and have the opportunity to share with her father about the work of Ebenezer. Moshe was very touched by the love and the work of the ministry, and he promised to keep in touch and tell others in the Jewish community about the work of Ebenezer.

This was a very humbling experience for us at the hub, as Michal is the very first applicant we have met face to face. The intercessors at the NYC/CT hub made the donations that covered Ebenezer’s financial assistance to Michal. All glory and praise to our Lord!

The note below is from Michal. Please pray with us that she will be abundantly blessed in the Land that was promised to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants forever (Psalm 105:8-10).

My name is Michal and I am a 22-year old Israeli/American woman. I was born and raised in Haifa, Israel until the age of 9 years old. My parents and I moved to NY to be with my ill grandmother and have stayed here since then. I just graduated College with a Painting and Drawing degree and throughout my life in America I always knew I would come back to Israel.

Israel is my home and making Aliyah, even without my parents as an independent individual is imperative to me. Part of moving back to Israel for me is completing a service with the IDF. I joined a group called Garin Tzabar that consists of lone soldiers all post graduates going to Israel and joining the army. I feel that this is the best fit for me because being a lone soldier is hard enough and getting emotional support from people that can relate to me and become my family there is very important to me.

I know this is my destiny and am willing to make this happen in whatever way I can. My parents, though they love me, do not support my move and Aliyah to Israel, and therefore will not help fund this program or my move. This is a very hard decision and one I have spent years thinking about. Going back to Israel and joining the Army has been on my mind since I left the country I so longed for and love. I want to make Aliyah to help protect the people and land I love. Please help me make my dream come true.

The LORD says, “Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth” (Isaiah 43:6).
