EBENEZER Operation Exodus - Another first for Ebenezer

Ebenezer Operation Exodus were asked by the Embassy of Israel to liaise with other like-minded ministries, to meet for a lunch time meeting with Yuli Edelstein, Israel’s Minister for Public Affairs and the Diaspora, and the former Minister for Immigrant Absorption, on Tuesday 5th April at the Embassy of Israel in London. This was attended by representatives from CFI, Hatikvah, ICEJ, Bridges for Peace, PWI, and YACHAD. Mr Edelstein was grateful for the support of those present, and those unable to attend, in carrying the truth of Israel, and assisting to address the ignorance and misconceptions of others. He talked about the work of his department which was now 2 years old and the strategy of using the internet to balance the biased coverage of some media corporations. For our part we were able to discuss our concerns about the funding for Aliyah in a very friendly environment. Others in attendance were Mr Alon Roth-Snir Deputy Ambassador and Deputy Head of Mission, Mr Michael Brodsky Director of Public Affairs, Mr Daniel Bacall Public Affairs UK, and Mr Rafi Nassi Director of UK Aliyah - Jewish Agency. The opportunity to network and deepen relationships was encouraged and an informal lunch was enjoyed by all.
