God’s Word tells us, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land’ (Ezekiel 37:21).
This verse refers to Jewish people making aliyah — people like Sergey, his wife Olga and their young daughters Anastasia and Nikita. They found life an increasingly hard struggle in a small town in the region around Astana, Kazakhstan’s capital.
Sergey was the only member of the family to have a job and the low salary was usually late in being paid. So when we shared that they had the right to ‘return’ to the Promised Land, they decided to take the big step. They have no relatives in Israel, but Sergey and Olga were determined to work hard there, confident of a better life and good education for their children. We were blessed to help them and see them fly to their new life. We continue to pray for them.
