The progress of the ministry of Ebenezer–Operation Exodus can best be
summed up in the words of the psalmist:
..."The LORD has done great things for them." The LORD has
done great things for us, and we are filled with joy (Psalm 126:2, 3
NIV). We
stand in awe of the Lord and are deeply grateful to Him for His faithfulness
toward the Jewish people and to those of us who serve Him
in the ministry of aliyah (Jewish immigration to Israel). We are thrilled
by the tremendous
developments in the former Soviet Union and in Western
countries. |
 |
|
As
we understand it, when the time of the "hunters" will come
(Jeremiah 16:16), it will not be possible for any organization by itself to manage the flood of the promised
Jewish exodus to Israel. That is why we have started, under the
Lord’s leading, to build up a worldwide network of support
for aliyah in the churches. |
 |
|
This laying of new foundations is both a challenging and
an expensive phase; however, it is vital that we prepare and help to mobilize Christians, the
body of Christ, to be a true friend
of the Jews and a "brother" in time of adversity (Proverbs 17:17). |
 |
|
The step-by-step advancement of Operation Exodus into
Western countries is in line with the buildup of aliyah worldwide. Our big task in the coming days will undoubtedly be
in the West. For example, there are around seven million
Jews living on the North American continent alone. In France,
Jewish leaders are saying that they believe that it is only a
matter of months before many of their people will leave for
Israel. |
 |
|
Humanitarian aid remains an important part of our ministry.
In many areas of the former Soviet Union, the need for such
help has increased. Our "Love in Action" distribution of
food, clothing, medicine, and other necessities to the needy brings comfort to Jewish people and opens their hearts
to God’s call to them to "return" to Israel. Hand in hand
with this, our "fishing"—seeking and finding God’s special
people to share about His plans for them in the Promised
Land—goes on more urgently than ever, as we get ready for
the time of Zechariah 2:6, when they will need to "flee
from the land of the north." |
 |
|
Looking ahead, some of the priorities of Ebenezer–Operation Exodus will be: |
 |
|
Regional
Hubs: building hubs around the world with involvement
of the churches—so vital! |
 |
|
Ethiopian
Jews: increasing support for the Ethiopian Jews by
maintaining the feeding program in Ethiopia and also helping the Falash
Mura to go to Israel |
 |
|
Absorption
in the Land: greater commitment, through various
projects, to assist Jewish people who have already made
aliyah to settle down in Israel |
 |
Younger
Generation: involving more young people (aged 18–35) in the
ministry |
 |
|
None
of this can be achieved without your help, especially in
prayer and financial giving. Your partnership with us is very much appreciated. Please
continue with us in serving the Jewish people. |
