Why Do We Love God's Chosen People? |

 |
 |
For most of us who are Bible-believing Christians, this
question is quite easy to answer: Our
love for the Jewish people and
for the Land of Israel is based on God’s
Word
and His Biblical plan for Israel,
which He has clearly outlined in His
Word. |
 |
|
|
Speaking through the prophet
Jeremiah, the Lord says
concerning His Jewish people:
"Yes, I will rejoice
over them to do them
good, and I will assuredly plant
them in this land, with all My
heart and with all My soul"
(Jeremiah 32:41,
NKJV). |
 |
|
|
It is surely a precious and
remarkable thing for us who are
part of Ebenezer–Operation
Exodus to contribute—through
our actions or prayers or both—to
what God is doing,
which is so dear to His heart
and soul. |
 |
|
|
The Lord is a faithful God, who
has not changed His mind.
Therefore, it is so important to
understand God’s purpose for
Israel, particularly regarding
the re-gathering of the Jewish
people—despite all of the
conflicts and turbulence in the
Middle East region. Nowadays, we
see right before our very eyes
that the Lord is again planting His
covenant people in the Land
that He promised them, and He is
doing it not only with a
Father’s heart of compassion,
but also with all His heart and with
all His soul! Indeed, when the Lord God
of Israel makes a statement, it
always comes true, because He has
spoken it. |
 |
|
|
Many Scriptures describe God’s
promise to bring His
people back to the Land that He gave
them. One such passage can be
found in Isaiah 43, in verses 5
and 6, where the Lord says that
He will gather Israel from the
east, the west, the north, and
the south. The very fact that Jewish people,
who were scattered all over the
earth, are again
living as a nation in the Land
of Israel is evidence of God’s
faithfulness to His Word.
Moreover, this
restoration of Israel is
profoundly significant for us
as believers, because it is evidence that
we are living in the “last days”
before the return of Messiah. |
