For too long, we have thought of worship as some
kind of
activity: characterized by singing, clapping,
and perhaps dancing as well. While these are
certainly elements of worship, they are only a
part. |
 |
|
Worship emanates from the timeless place of the
eternal God, who has already accomplished His
plan. We are waiting for His kingdom to come
here, in time and space. But outside of this
mortal realm, we are already seated in heavenly
places in Messiah, rejoicing with the elders,
creatures, and angels concerning all that has
been wrought through obedience to the Lord. |

Leviticus 6:9
"...And
the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on
it."
|
|
Leviticus 6:12
"And
the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on
it; it shall not be put out."
|
|
Leviticus 6:13
"A
fire shall always be burning on the altar; it
shall never go out."

The Lord is
drawing us into the holy flame of divine fire.
We can no longer be satisfied with an
outer-court experience. We will enter into hours
of extended waiting in His presence. We will
hear and know His voice. We will go past the
outer courts of our own need, and worship will
be all about ministering to the Lord Himself. A
holy company of end-time Levites will be brought
forth in the nations of the earth to tend to the
flame of the Lord, ensuring that it will not
burn out day or night. |

There is a
real throne room—it is a real place, the seat of
universal government. The uncreated God, the
Ancient of Days, sits there enthroned in glory
and splendor. This is not an image or a
metaphor, but it is literally the throne room of
the King, who is our Father. There is no need
for earthly wisdom in this place. Wisdom Himself
is there, speaking into our hearts. |
 |
|
He will be
our all in all. Presence will be valued over
service, brokenness and intimacy over
productivity. When Isaiah saw this place, he
was "undone," aware that
he could not live in this atmosphere of absolute
holiness (Isaiah 6:1–5). Likewise, we cannot see
God’s throne room without the application of
divine atonement. |

Here, only
here, will we receive the Lord’s rhema word
regarding aliyah (Jewish immigration to Israel) and be able to proclaim His
will on earth. By those who come near Him He
must be regarded as holy, and before all the
people the Lord must be glorified (Leviticus 10:
3)! |
