In 2008, the
conflict in the former Soviet republic of Georgia made world headlines.
Among those tragically caught up in the fighting there were local Jews,
who also suffered great losses. This in turn caused many to consider making aliyah
(immigrating to Israel). |

Since Ebenezer–Operation Exodus
is already represented throughout the fSU, including Georgia, we were
able to provide comfort
and valuable practical assistance to families wanting to go to Israel. We
helped them to find documentation proving their eligibility to make aliyah and
also assisted in transporting these precious
families to the airport for their departure. |
