Israel's Security Begins with Prayer... |
|
|
|
Prayer is fulfilling God's command in Isaiah
62:7: And give Him no rest till He
establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise
in the earth. As believers in the Word of
God, we long to see His Jewish people re-gathered to
His Land and His city restored. |
 |
|
God
also commands us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem
(Psalm 122:6).
Right now, the whole world is focused on Israel,
asking:
What is going to happen? What is going to happen
with the neighboring countries? So it is time to
pray— to believe God for Israel, to believe God
for a move of His Holy Spirit. |
 |
|
Nationwide civil-preparedness drills were held
during the month of May 2010 under the Israel Defense Forces
Home Front Command, with the police, Magen David
Adom emergency squads, and local authorities
also participating. These drills were meant to
prepare the population for an unforeseen
emergency of a large-scale attack involving
hundreds of rockets and missiles being fired
from surrounding countries. Nationwide air-raid
sirens sounded across Israel, during which
time all citizens were urged to enter the nearest
bomb shelter in their vicinity. |
 |
|
We here in the Jerusalem Ebenezer office spent time in prayer,
seeking the Lord's direction to prepare us for a
time of emergency and to know His action plan as
we face serious days ahead. |
 |
|
Please join us in praying that: |
 |
-
The Lord will provide the IDF with wisdom:
I will lift up my eyes to
the hills—from whence comes my help? My
help comes from the LORD, who made heaven
and earth (Psalm 121:1, 2).
-
The Lord will receive the glory for
protecting Israel—not men—because
He alone is their "refuge" and "fortress" (Psalm 91:2).
-
The Lord will raise up prophets in Israel,
such as Elisha, who in days of old gave direction
to the king (2 Kings 6:8–12).
-
The Lord will give us spiritual eyes to see
that those who are with us are more than
those who are with the enemy (2 Kings 6:16, 17).
-
The Lordship of Yeshua will reign over the
hearts of potential olim
(immigrants), so that the current situation
will not create fear nor slow down aliyah
(immigration to Israel) at all (Isaiah 43:1–7).
|
 |
|
To everything there is a season, a time
for every purpose under heaven...a time of
war, and a time of peace (Ecclesiastes 3:1,
8b). |
 |
|
Please also pray that Satan will be totally unable to
precipitate God's timing for war. Bring consistent proclamation of
Philippians 2:5–11,
as well as other
Scriptures exalting
the supremacy of Yeshua, over the plans of
Satan. |
 |
|
NOTE:
Please pass on these prayer requests to your friends who love
Israel everywhere in the world, so that
prevailing prayer will arise from the nations.
Tell them about our work, and encourage them to
make contact with Ebenezer–Operation Exodus.
