The Japanese Earthquake - Operation Exodus

Thank you so much for your prayers for Japan.

This disaster has been serious enough just with the earthquake and the Tsunami, but what makes the situation much more serious was the problem of the radiation leaking in the nuclear power plants, because of the explosion there, as even the Prime Minister of Japan said, ‘The whole eastern of Japan is doomed if this situation is not solved.’ It has been the most serious disaster in the history of Japan.

It seems that the worst scenario has been avoided. However, the area of diameter of 30 km from the nuclear power plants is not suitable for the people to live. Also within 80 km, industries may not function. However, around Tokyo and the areas except for the areas affected by the Tsunami and Fukushima prefecture, ordinary life has been possible so far.

Last week, I took a team of intercessors to visit Global Mission Center (GMC) in Iwaki city, which is a church located 45 km from the nuclear power plants. We had a prayer chain of 26 hours there and visited other local churches and encouraged the pastors there.

One interesting thing I heard there was that many people were healed from depression and various sicknesses after this disaster. This disaster brought a lot of shock but at the same time it has been an event to wake up souls and bodies. And, many Christians are rising up now with the passion for evangelism.

The members of the GMC church decided to stay on there in Iwaki city without the fear of radiation. This church became a base for the volunteers who come from all over the world to distribute the aids even when the government could not function. God is using this church to bring blessings and help to many people who do not yet know the Lord Jesus.

Japanese have spiritual hunger now.
I hear that new-comers are increasing in many churches. As the earthquake happened when Jesus was crucified on the cross, the change of the spiritual world has been manifested in the form of earthquake. Also as the earthquake happens, there brings about a spiritual change.

This is a word I shared in the prayer convocation last year. There are 2 well known translations of this verse. One is the destroying waves:

Isaiah 59:19 (NKJ) When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.

The other is the overwhelming wave of the visitation of the Lord.

Isaiah 59:19 (NIV) For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the LORD drives along.

I asked the Lord why there exists two different translations. And the Lord told me that there will be two waves coming to Japan. One is the wave to destroy and the other is the overwhelming wave of the visitation of the Lord.

This disaster has left a tremendous scar in the hearts of the Japanese. However, I believe that the Lord will bring us a great revival like a rushing river into this nation.
