Prayer and Teaching in Bogota, Colombia
“Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?” Isaiah: 43.13 NIV
The Lord´s purpose in taking us to Colombia was to teach the one new man (Eph 2:11-19) to the church leadership and our duty in Israel’s complete restoration. Our Father gave us grace and favour with key persons of national influence in Bogotá who love and are committed to Israel.
In Bogotá, we met Pastor Roosevelt Muriel who was very interested to know the vision of EEF and how Colombia should be involved. His first response was: how we can help in bringing the Jews from Venezuela to Bogotá and comfort them before they leave to Israel? He later listened how the Lord guided EEF to the important port of Cartagena to pray and why it was important to remove the curse of anti-Semitism in this ancient city. He called the pastoral president of this city for immediate attention to the issue and assistance.
Cartegena is the port city in Colombia where Jewish people first set foot in Latin America during the Spanish inquisition hundreds of years ago. With city pastors and intercessors we made confession, repented for wrongdoing against Jewish people, proclaimed God’s purposes for them and prayed for the removal of the anti-Semitic curse to free them to go home to Israel.
Pastor Muriel also invited Consuelo Chavez who is the director of an intercession ministry for Israel in Colombia to be involved in praying for aliyah. This was to prepare highways to the borders for Venezuelan Jews who will soon need to urgently flee from that nation.
The Lord allowed us to be with Pastor Raul Rubio who has a healthy relationship with the Jewish Community and with Rabi Goldstein. He warmly welcomed us and was very surprised that Ebenezer already had fully committed people ready to assist in Aliyah in Latin America. He took note and said: ‘I want to refer all of our cases in need to EEF!’.
Please pray for this time of urgency and mobilization to be under the Lord’s guidance.
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. Jn. 15:8 NIV
The Grace of our Lord and Saviour Yeshua is upon all of us.
