Firstly thanks to all the Engage Team for all your input to an excellent day.
This conference was significant, staking a foothold in Scotland.
The good teaching we believe was received well by those attending and for many this was the first time they had heard it. Most people were unknown to us before the day.
The process of preparation gave us names and personal contact through phone and email of some pastors supportive and interested in finding out about “Why care for Israel?” We also gained an opening into the International Christian College in Glasgow, and a pastor in Edinburgh volunteered to share about the conference with the Edinburgh City Fellowship which is a significant evangelical body in the capital.
Yes there were a few new contacts in the age bracket of 18 – 35 who attended the conference. We have been reminded however of Zechariah 4 v 10. “Who despises the day of small things?”
Another encouragement was the interest in at least four attendees to join prayer groups PTL!
As far as a future event is concerned we can’t immediately say. We believe we need to pray this
through but certainly a follow up event relatively soon would seem to be important to maximise on what has already been established and
to continue to follow up on the contacts we have made.
A similar event maybe in Edinburgh (which would be spiritually significant on a national perspective being the capital city) or Perth
(central to most of Scotland’s population) could be the next step. We need to discern the Lord’s will.
