Operation Exodus Winter Project Appeal

Operation Exodus Winter Project Appeal

‘For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews’ spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them in their material blessings.’ Romans 15:27

In our latest Bulletin you will read more stories of Jewish families living in difficult circumstances that we have been able to help through your generous support. We are so grateful for every gift that we receive. May the Lord bless you as you read these stories, and see how your support has transformed their lives.

It is a partnership East and West working together and from my recent visit to Ukraine I know how much our operational teams in the Former Soviet Union value your support. Vadim Rabochiy, our Deputy Operational Director, tells this story, a wonderful testimony that came from our base leaders in Rostov:

‘Zoya is a widow of a Jewish man from Poland and retired now. She receives a small retirement pension and receives a poverty alleviation subsidy (a benefit) from the state. Out of this Zoya regularly donates to Ebenezer’s ministry monthly! Besides, she continually thanks the Lord for His having brought us together, since Zoya had long been asking Him in her prayers for His guidance and leading to a ministry she could support in order to bless Jewish people. Zoya is also a member of a prayer group. She is a committed financial and prayer partner who faithfully intercedes for Israel and even helps with “fishing” (finding Jewish people) at times. Thanksgiving to the Lord for “poor widows”! Moreover, Zoya takes care of one needy Jewish lady, Alevtina, who is blind.’

The winter months can be very difficult for families living in the FSU. Many poor Jewish people, and others, suffer badly during the extremely cold winter weather. This year we are again planning a number of important projects to help those in need.

Our 2011 / 2012 winter projects appeal will be for:

  • Winter shoes for children
  • Support for families with disabled children
  • Food parcels – throughout the winter
  • Medicines for Holocaust survivors
  • Hanukkah food parcels
  • Winter clothing and blankets
  • Ongoing day-to-day aid needs

We really need your financial support right now. Your donations, like those from Zoya, will enable our dedicated workers to distribute these often basic provisions to those in desperate need.

You can make a donation by clicking on the donate button at the top of the page.

Every blessing
